Eating healthy means not dieting, not restricting, not bingeing, etc. However, when I make a conscious effort to kind of clean up my diet, I always: drink more water , eat more fruits and veggies, eat more unprocessed foods (in place of processed foods. Sometimes as simple as brown rice instead of white), and try to substitute healthier versions of unhealthy things. Kind of like increase healthy options and find healthier alternatives to unhealthy food. Or, if I eat something unhealthy..just try to eat enough to satisfy the craving. I'm a HUGE fan of Pinterest. I look up sooo many recipes.. today I looked up crockpot meals. Lol. Anyway, great start is to aim for lower fat meat, or leaner versions of beef etc.. chicken breasts over dark meat (if I eat dark meat i take skin off). For me, if i get snacky.. I'm more likely to grab what is convenient..so it's about being prepared. Ever heard that saying:
If you fail to plan; you plan to fail.
